Adam Carolla podcast with me up now

This was a really fun podcast to do. I’ve always enjoyed doing Adam’s radio show, but it was especially cool talking to him uncensored. He’s a really interesting, smart dude, and this is the perfect format for him. Someday we’ll all have an internet connection in our cars and this really will be the future of radio. The old companies are outdated, and with the advent of new technology anyone with something interesting to say can have an audience. You don’t need a gigantic machine behind you, you just need the same technological infrastructure that everyone else can also enjoy.

This is a huge moment in our societies history – for the first time an independent person can easily reach millions of people. You can actually reach more people than you can with television because really it’s available to anyone with a connection. It’s only going to get crazier and crazier from here on out, too. Information is moving at an incredible pace.
Go to Adam’s site to listen to the audio. I had a really fun time as a guest on his show, and I’m gonna be a regular listener now. Adam is really awesome in this format. Here’s the link: http://www.carollaradio.com/

joe, you fucker. i lay awake for two and a half hours last night with insomnia, and to occupy my mind i tried to clarify my opinions on religion in a linear fashion, and it ended up being pretty much exactly what you said about atheism WORD FOR WORD. it was too creepy to hear that come out your mouth. but not that surprising, i mean it makes sense. nobody could possibly know whether god exists or not. not the pope, not jim jones, not richard dawkins, not even jesus. it’s a belief system, not a theory, and if it gives anybody comfort or happiness, be my guest.

Joe, I heard you on Carolla’s podcast this morning & was really impressed. I guess I’m kind of a fan of his at this point, but this was definitely the most intelligent & interesting conversation I’ve heard on his show. I had no idea you were as thoughtful a person as you are. Thumbs up!

Hey man, whats up with making people register to comment?

Hi Joe, I am just now listening to the podcast and cannot stop laughing…you two are just awesome! I am now at the part when you talk where our food comes from and hunting…this reminded me of the first time I had to debone a chicken. I know it’s just a chicken but it was hard. It was already dead but just the idea of taking the bones out freaked me out. I did it but when I was done I went and had myself a good cry. I don’t know if I could kill an animal…to survive yes, I’m sure I could but I really appreciate that I can get it all wrapped up and ready to go…ignoring where it really comes from. Otherwise I think I may become a vegetarian and I love meat so much…I choose ignorance in this case. Is that bad?

Montreal weed!!! Buddy…you just got some bad stuff cause it’s really good! Smoking a joint of that as I am listening…Let me know if you come back to montreal…I’ll treat and you can take back those words! Granted you guys have more variety but we have some really good shit. (off topic but wasn’t the UFC great? Was my first UFC event and loved it! posted some pics on board)

Love the whole podcast! Great stuff! Laughed a lot…you made me want to do mushrooms again cause I was obviously doing it all wrong. lol

I was wondering also if you could post a small list of books that you have enjoyed in the past and that have brought you to the way you think now.

    Thanks a bunch,

    isabelle

    Hey Joe,

I only knew minor details about your career, and I rarely take the time to comment on these sort of things, but I have to say that after listening to this podcast I was just so impressed.

You came off as highly insightful, especially about drugs. If you’re smart you can do drugs and not let it completely ruin your life.

It’s like Adam said in previous podcasts as well, its the smart people that need to smoke every day to turn off the active mind. At least I’d like to think so…

Anyway, ever since I saw that Simpsons episode I’ve been intrigued by sensory deprivation tanks. You mentioned the guy who can build them; guess it just takes a bit of research to see how I can log in a session or two without buying a tank.

Anyway, you’ve got a new fan in LA.

    Cheers,

    Ali

Adam Carolla listener here. If you wanna watch something really interesting, I suggest you watch this 8 hour lecture by Nassim Haramein. I think you’ll like it.

Great podcast, Joe. I have a $12 mp3 player that I carry with me. It has a decent mic and records audio. When I have important thoughts on a matter and I have privacy, I make a recording then listen to it later and if I think its good I share it. I highly suggest that you do the same thing.

JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE…JOE, DRUGS ARE NOT THEY ANSWER. A LIL’ MORE RESEARCH INTO THE NEGATIVE SIDE EXPERIMENTAL HALUCINAGINS MY FRIEND. I’M NOT ARGUEING THE FACT THAT THEY WORK FOR YOU BUT I THINK THEY WORK FOR YOU CAUSE YOU ARE BLESSED WITH GOOD GENETICS AND FOR THE MOST PART, LIVE HEALTHY. IF EVERYONE WAS JOR ROGAN I SAY YES…MAYBE DRUGS WOULD BE THE ANSWER. THERE IS TO MUCH ” GREY AREA ” WITH THOSE KINDS OF DRUGS AND I THINK THATS WHAT SCARES THE RIGHT PEOPLE WHO ARE ” IN THE KNOW “. I WILL SAY THIS…WE DEFINATELY NEED A FORMULA. THINK BACK TO WHEN WE WERE ALL BABIES…WE WERE ALL ALL ON SOME SORT OF FORMULA RIGHT. NOW, THINK OF THAT ON AN EXTREMELY LARGER SCALE…LIKE A FORMULA YOU COULD TAKE YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. THIS IS WHAT NEEDS TO BE INVENTED CAUSE LETS FACE IT…YOUR DAILY MULTI-VITAMIN IS F@#K ALL. what you just read i posted word for word on ADAM CAROLLA’S podcast comment page. i’m just adding that if i wasn’t a fan from way back…i never would of addressed this. i personally feel that GAME SHOW IN MY HEAD was f@#kin’ genius!!! if that was 100% your baby ya hit a home run in my book, cheers.

Joe, I finally registered here. Overall, great blog. I appreciate the reading material you provide. I am not really into books. I might be a google reading (minus the 30 seconds) I do like to research.

With that being said. Great podcast. I was high and trying to keep up and I got hung up on thinking about the discussion and stop listening. I have to listen to it again and absorb it more. Even if people disagree with you I do not understand how they could not at least give your points a valid response and take it seriously. Even when you crack jokes and say funny shit when using examples, the points you make and issues you bring up deserve attention and a thorough response. Which is why your Moon discussion and Alex Jones show media is so intriguing. It isn’t like when you were on Fox defending the UFC and dickbag Jones was tripping.

    Stay high, and be real.
    Peace & Pot.

Joe! You speak the truth that is shown in many artists such as Alex Grey. Expanding ones mind is something that is not done over night and not everyone is ready for it. Speaking what is real and referencing fact is not only head and shoulders above the current propaganda fueled media but also gives people power to methodically question the structure of humanity and what we want to accomplish while here on this rock covered with bacteria. Another great podcast (heard you on Adam’s radio talk show before, as well as, Bob and Tom). Organized societies rise and fall, but their ideologies, information and technology are timeless; the next levels of telepathic communication will look back on today as the stoneage of the next generation of communication and information exchange, and people like you will be seen as the self launched monkey into space. Good Stuff!

That podcast we pretty sweet. Glad to hear you read confessions of an economic hitman. That book is amazing and a great read.
Totally agree with your point that we have nowhere near the knowledge to even be close to discussing whether ones atheist, agnostic etc etc..its all belief and whatever floats your boat. Noone has proof, noone has a ‘Pythagoras theorum’ of life origins.. So why argue it to your blue in the face when its just ones belief.
And Motorbot F*ck off with your caps yelling, like you know what you’re talking about and thats the way it is. That’s how it is in your world, and Im sure theres others out there which agree.. but far out, i struggled to read posts when people talk like they have the knowledge to the point they caps their argument. Typing in caps makes you look like a dumb ass, not someone who is smart. I mean its good that you are passionate but geez..
